Julio Alberto Rico Pardillo (born 11 June 1989) is a Spanish footballer who plays for Gimnàstic de Tarragona in the Spanish second division, as a right back or right midfielder.

Born in El Rubio, Rico started to play in Écija Balompié. In 2001, he was moved to Real Betis. He spent six years with Betis' youth categories, and was moved to "C" team. In the 2006–07 season, he played seven matches for Betis C. In the next season, he was moved to Betis B, but played only one match, and was back to Betis C on 2008–09. In this season Rico played 27 matches and stayed between "B" and "C" in 2009–10, when he played 4 matches for Betis C and 3 for B.[1]
On February 2010, Rico signed with La Liga giants Real Madrid, to play for "C" level.[2] He played the rest of the season in Real C, playing four matches for the club.
On July 2010, Rico signed with Pobla de Mafumet CF. He was the first-choice to Pobla manager Kiko Ramírez, and impressed the first team. In 2010–11, Rico was the third goalscorer for Pobla, behind Virgili and Fran Carbià. In 23 June 2011, Rico was promoted to Gimnàstic first team, and signed a two year contract.[3] In 10 July, he was officially presented with Catalan club,[4] and received the 2 jersey.
Julio Rico made his debut with Nàstic, against Espanyol, on 6 August 2011, for 2011 Copa Catalunya. He played 26 minutes after came off the bench to replace Berry Powel.[5]
He made his Segunda División debut on 4 September, replacing Eloy and playing the last 21 minutes of the match against Numancia.[6]
